Please note dogs can be accommodated by prior arrangement at a cost of GBP 20 for up to a week, payable in cash on arrival.To find Near Howe Cottages, please use the postcode CA11 0SZ and the turn off to Near Howe is slightly further down on the right hand side.From the East (North and South) - Penrith and the M6Travelling West on A66 from the M6 Motorway (Junction 40)• Continue 8 miles towards Keswick when you pass the turnoff to Troutbeck (A5091)
• Continue for approximately 1 mile and take the next right hand turn signposted Mungrisdale and Caldbeck
• Continue for approximately 1 mile to the sign for Near Howe is on the right hand side of the road
• The drive way crosses two fields, and then rises past an old ruin up to the top of the hill where you will find the property

A really nice quiet spot in the Northern Lakes! The accommodation was lovely and spacious enough for the 4 of us and a dog! The lounge area was really comfy and cosy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal and the grounds and views were lovely! Also great value for money and easy to get into Keswick and to a nearby pub by car!

Beautiful, tranquil location. Red squirrels can be seen raiding the bird feeder. It was evident that the owners had given a lot of thought into providing everything you would need. Well equipped kitchen, lovely quality of decor. Plenty of outdoor seating areas. Also use of a gas barbecue. The owners are always available and are very friendly. They are investing as much as they can in making the properties as green as possible with an electric car charging point, solar panels and heat pump.
