Beautiful location right on the river bank. The property is tasteful, creative and charming as well as clean overall. The restaurant offers delicious cuisine and is a great place to spend time. Good selection of wines, too. There are kayaks at the disposal of guests and since the Douro is a calm river we enjoyed making use of them on a hot day out. The pool is clean and provides nice river views along with comfortable sun beds that are in the shade from early to mid afternoon on which is pleasant when temperatures rise. Breakfast consists of a prepared box with a decent selection and egg dishes can be ordered separately. At the restaurant, we were served by the owners’ son who did a fantastic job and provided an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful scenery, just 5 rooms with amazing views of the river. The decor and design of the hotel is really special. Everything is so peaceful and the breakfast is WOW. Liliana and Manuela were truly great hosts and looked after us really well. We will definitely return!

Quiet don't tell anyone, this place is a little slice of Heaven. Everyone involved in making your stay comfortable even wear hallos. We can't say enough about how understanding and responsive they are to individual needs. Liliana is a gem she knows what you need and takes care of it before you ask. The owners live on site and have made each stand alone suite an extension of their home and love of their environment. As we didn't want a car this trip the restaurant is what sold us on booking here. The pictures of food looked appealing without being the "designer" chef creations. Yes the menu is limited but when I asked about octopus as a country specialty we were offered it for the next evening. No cigarette smoke or little ones around the pool made this a perfect adult retreat. .
