Travelling alone isn't always easy. The lovely receptionist who greeted me when I arrived late afternoon on Tuesday 2 December was so welcoming - and the news that my room had been upgraded made my day!

Great breakfast, very good service, ate in the glass front room due to having our dog which was lovely and in the evening we ate in Not The Cocktail Bar both nights which was cosy and delicious
