We had a wonderful stay at this charming little corner of nature! The owners were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the start. The breakfast was delicious, and all the conditions were excellent. The location is perfect — just 20 minutes from Pena Aventura Park, which made it easy for us to explore the area. On top of that, the owners are wine producers who moved here three years ago. They were kind enough to show us the entire winemaking process and even gave us a guided tour of the estate, which was truly fascinating.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this place and found it to be extremely comfortable. The house was spotless, and it had everything we needed, both in our room and in the common areas. The pool was a big highlight, especially for the kids who absolutely loved it. The property itself is situated on a large and beautiful vineyard, providing a serene atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely want to come back, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, quiet, and a taste of countryside living.

It is a well kept property on a beautiful setting, ideal to relax and be close to nature. Great attention to detail from Ann and Steen, who are continuously seeking to improve the property and their guests’ stay. Great place for children. My kids loved playing with the friendly cats, feeding the fish and mostly the swimming pool. Lovely and well equipped BBQ area.

Ann and Steen made their home a lovely and very nice to stay. Quinta da Paixão is at Cabeceira de Basto, more or less between Porto and Chaves with very good accesses through highways. The hosts make their best for you to feel at home. Room is comfortable and they provide, in my opinion, everything you need to enjoy a pleasant stay. If you expect luxury or babysitting, this is not the place. If you, in the other hand, appreciate a warm welcome and the sensation of being in the house of nice friends (instead of "hospitality services"), you will certainly enjoy good moments here.
