The hotel has character (in a good way!) Proprietor/Receptionist very helpful (and keen to speak English) Lift (but see below) Quiet (effective double glazing) Well maintained Location at heart of Pau (and only 15 mins walk - and funicular ride! - from station) 5 min walk from spectacular view across to the Pyrenees View from my (front facing) room Reasonably priced breakfast I had control of heating

Gentleman on reception was very helpful with good English and explained the car parking. Breakfast was good. Location excellent
