This stay truly deserves 5 stars — if I could give more, I would. Shailendra is an exceptional host, and the property is perfectly located in Kathmandu. The building itself is a beautifully renovated family home, combining comfort with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can really feel the care and attention that has gone into every detail. The room was very spacious and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The management is family-run, which makes the experience even more special and personal. The breakfast was excellent, and everything was always well organized. What made our stay unforgettable was the incredible gesture from Shailendra: he arranged a special celebration for our 30th anniversary at a Buddhist temple, which was simply spectacular and deeply meaningful. We are truly grateful for such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

NAMASTE 🙏 Heartfelt thanks to SHAILENDRA, AMRITA and SHRIYA, my “Patan Family” for a beautiful, unforgettable stay at TAJAA PHA THE HERITAGE HOME, brilliantly located on the edge of Pimbahal Pond, a magical pea-green lake with Temple and Stupa very close to lively Durbar Square Patan. From our first hello to our parting farewell it was pure joy. The warm friendship, hospitality and professional care from this loving family makes a stay at TAJAA PHA a stand out experience to cherish. Thank you for giving me a spectacular Pimbahal Pond facing room with five windows! Thank you for the delicious breakfasts, the chatter and banter in your homely kitchen. There is also a wonderful fifth floor rooftop garden with a 360 degree panoramic view of Patan together with an outdoor terrace facing Pimbahal Pond where you can take breakfast. The first thing that so impressed me about Shailendra was his deep sonorous voice. The next thing was his wit and his cheeky sense of humour, but a kinder Host you could not wish for and when I was run down with travel fatigue he offered me rice and soup. Shailendra ensured I had an early morning taxi on departure to hook up with my Chitwan sofa bus and although it was very early, came to wish me farewell and exciting travels. This sort of loving hospitality is priceless so if you are staying in Patan (highly recommended) there is only one place to stay: TAJAA PHA THE HERITAGE HOUSE.

Our hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful. We were welcomed on arrival with a cup of coffee and a chat. Our room was on the fourth floor with beautiful views looking over a pond and the town. The rooftop was where we had breakfast. The best yoghurt and muesli we ever had as well as eggs and some traditional food. The coffee was also great. We loved the area. It had great restaurants and shops nearby too. Everything was very clean and comfortable.
