At the top of the Stelvio Pass it can't be anything other than the top, the view leaves nothing to be desired.

The hotel is very central and the main hotel in the centre of Stelvio.

The location is fantastic on top of the mountain, and the staff were friendly although English was in short supply.

Very friendly and supportive staff, cool ski shop with very fair rental prices for kids & adults. Breakfast is decent (and actually improved compared to our first visit two years ago). The building offers plenty of communal space, the rooms are comfy & cosy, but as everything up there, dates back to times prior to global warming eating away its raison d‘être. So: if you are looking for this pretty unique experience of skiing in summer, spending time on top of one of Europe‘s coolest mountain ranges and/or want to experience one of the coolest roads ever built (e.g. by bike): consider this place :)
