breakfast was very nice. The hotel was located close to the Eiffel Tower which was our main aim.

We needed a hotel in Paris for the return leg of a rail tour. The hotel is OK, but compared to the other places we stayed during the trip it was a disappointment, however, factor in that it was in the middle of Paris then it was perfectly acceptable for an overnight stop. The hotel is a short walk from Gare Montparnasse the immidieate area seemed to be OK but nothing to get excited about (roadworks on the road from station to hotel when we stayed). The room was pretty small and the fittings were pretty tired but it was clean. We stayed during a particularly hot weekend and the aircon did work but was noisy (not quite load enough to ruin sleep but noticeable). There staff were OK but they had to deal with crazy decision to not have a front desk. Instead they had a laptop sat on tables dotted around the lobby - it didn't seem to make for a more efficient or easy to use system.
