Charming, welcoming, old-fashioned, eclectic atmosphere in perfect, central, quiet location. It was our first time, but it will become our first choice in Paris. It felt like going to visit a wealthy grandmas Parisian palais, but better. Our room was small but a gem, opulently decorated with antique furniture and fabrics, old books on the shelves, but not dusty or musty at all. Everything was spotlessly clean and perfectly functional. We didn't need the air con but we tried it: it worked perfectly and was among the quietest we ever experienced. Bed was big and comfortable; we slept very well. The minibar fridge was hidden in the old furniture, and was so quiet, we almost didn't find it. The bathroom was also charmingly old-fashioned, small but functional. The towels were plenty and luxurious, thick and plush, as were the comfy bathrobes. We found fresh macarons and bottles of water in the room every day. We loved the small breakfast buffet, it had everything we wish for in Paris: superb pastries and bread, and plenty of sweet and savory cold offers. We did not look at the extra menu which supposedly had hot dishes. Staff and service were always very friendly and helpful. We found a good price and good value for money. We did not use the pool and spa which we could have booked for 1 hour every day.
