Staff all very friendly and patiently allowed me to try out my French despite speaking very good English. Hotel has one main twisty beautiful staircase and the rooms were very clean. Mattresses were comfortable and there was a very useful fan in the room. It is not a posh hotel, but for the money it is excellent value and very close to the Metro line 4, the Gare de Nord and Monematre.
