Very nice and walkable location to historic center. Good neighborhood, feels very safe. They let me checkin esrlier and check out later and helped organize transfer to bus station. Breakfast was really good!

Staff were lovely. (I speak Portuguese so no potential language barriers.) Room, while basic (as expected), was nice and clean (although a small table&chair would be a welcome addition). Bathroom was fairly spacious. Good WiFi in room. Excellent breakfast on patio, including fruit, fresh cheese and goiabada (a pairing made in heaven) and a rotating selection of cake. Within walkable distance to the historic centre (25 min). Close to the town's central street, with a supermarket around the corner, and not far from the coach station (10-15 min on foot, although probably plan on taking a taxi on arrival as the streets and sidewalks are not suitable for wheeled suitcases). No problems walking around at night. I was in Paraty for the FLIP, when prices in the town go up considerably, and Pousada Antares was an excellent choice for an affordable stay.
