Our stay at Castelo Vendom was simply unforgettable. My wife and I had one of the best holidays of our lives there. The location is absolutely perfect. The hotel is literally two steps away from a magnificent beach that feels almost unreal: ten kilometers of dazzling white sand, nearly deserted except for the occasional fisherman. You can walk for miles without meeting another person, surrounded only by the sound of the ocean and the wind. At the same time, the village is lively and charming, with restaurants, small shops, and plenty of places to enjoy yourself. When we entered our room for the first time, we couldn’t help but let out a gasp of admiration. It was beautifully designed, tasteful, and incredibly comfortable. And the cleanliness? Absolutely flawless. The hotel garden deserves a special mention. It feels like a small tropical paradise. You can walk through it for hours, discovering an amazing variety of plants, birds, and even small animals. There is also a wonderful space dedicated to yoga, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere of the place. We often had lunch and dinner at the hotel, although sometimes we went into the village. The cuisine at Castelo Vendom easily rivals that of a Michelin-starred restaurant: everything is prepared quickly, using fresh ingredients, and with great care. And of course, Delphine, the hostess, is the heart and soul of this place. Her warmth, generosity, and attention to detail make you feel truly welcome, as if you were staying with a dear friend. Our only regret is that the holiday had to end. We are already dreaming of returning to the kind and caring hands of the hostess of this wonderful place.
