The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Beginning 1 July 2016, as directed by the Langkawi Municipal Council, a local government Tourism Promotion Fee would be applicable per room per night. Tourism fee of RM10 net per room per night imposed by Langkawi Municipal Council will be collected by the resort upon arrival for all resort guests.

The location of the resort is very good, walking distance from the sky cable attraction. The resort is humongous, and needs a buggy/vehicle to move around, you can walk too. The beach is private to the resort, with some "paid" water sports, which can be purchased in the resort. The swimming pool is big, for all heights.
NatKn “A Fantastic Family Stay at Berjaya Langkawi – Jungle Luxury Meets Wildlife Adventure”

We recently stayed at Berjaya Langkawi as a family with our toddler and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade to a jungle chalet with a sea view and a spacious bathtub, which turned out to be perfect for both relaxation and toddler bath-time fun! Breakfast was a daily highlight – an incredible spread with something for everyone. We especially loved the Roti Canai station, fresh fruit juices, and eggs cooked to order. The pool area was lovely, with a swim-up bar and lush surroundings of palm trees – a truly tropical vibe. We often spotted hornbills flying overhead, adding to the magical rainforest atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was the guided night walk, which was amazing. We saw colugos, scorpions, bats, monitor lizards, giant squirrels, and even a tokay gecko – an unforgettable experience that we highly recommend to nature lovers. The dusky leaf monkeys are so adorable and greeted us many tumes during our stay. Dining at the à la carte restaurants was a treat. We especially enjoyed Pan Thai with its romantic setting and delicious dishes, and The Brasserie for its excellent food and relaxed ambiance.
