The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Beginning 1 July 2016, as directed by the Langkawi Municipal Council, a local government Tourism Promotion Fee would be applicable per room per night.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. The accommodation was very close to the city center - just a short walk away. It was in such a quiet, idyllic location. And the owner deserves special mention, she was so kind and helpful; 10+ stars. We ended up extending our stay.

The check-in process is done online, and you just need to pick up the key and pay the fees at reception. The place is calm and quiet. The room is big and has everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. It’s only a few minutes from the beach. Drinking water is available at reception. Yes, there are roosters and birds singing in the morning, but that wasn’t a problem for me.
