It's very close to the trailhead! We arrived in the morning, dropped off our backpacks, hiked and then returned for a tasty dinner at the hut. The next morning, we went for a short hike before being picked up by the bus again. The beds were comfortable enough. We had the 4-person room to ourselves. The shower was nice and hot. Expect simple amenities that do the job well.
