Tina Marie “Very Nice Relaxing Stay with a Long Stretch of Fine White Sand Beach”

We loved our stay in Oceanica Resort this past week. I was meeting a friend in Bohol who had a few days of vacation time after her work and we wanted to catch up. The relaxing resort grounds were perfect for this plus the beautiful long beach is also a plus. We walked every day we were there in the afternoon to sunset. At low tide, we could see the unique terrain of the sea floor, the small mounds of sand with sea grass appeared just like magic. We walked out there and found a few locals collecting sea urchins that get stuck in the small pools of water. It was interesting! And during high tide, it's all submerged under water and you can just see the different layers of green water showing the shallow and deeper areas. The beach had plenty of sun beds and hammocks for all the guests wanting to enjoy the shore. And you can see the staff cleaning the beach area. Security personnel were around especially making sure everyone was safe. The facilities were also very good. They had an airconditioned lounge to wait in if you arrive earlier than check in time and provided a welcome weaved leaf necklace and welcome drinks. The rooms were large and clean, we got a twin room with a view of the pool, poolside bar and garden. Despite it being near the pool, it was a good balance of quiet and some activity. The bathroom was clean, water pressure and temperature were perfect, very nice shampoo conditioner and body soap provided in refillable bottles, and they provided clean towels each day. They also provided two half-liter water bottles each day but we can also ask for more any time. Electric kettle was provided with some coffee and tea, and a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast had a good selection of local and international food and the food was delicious. They also gave us a big serving for the takeaway box complete with coffee and fruits, on the morning when we had an early activity. The resort is great and I would stay again. It is literally on the beach and walking out from our room we were straight on the beach. The vibe was terrific - nicely relaxed. The staff were very helpful. Our room was great - large, clean and comfortable. We had massages and they occur outside under the trees by the beach which was so lovely and relaxing. My husband needs to be gluten free and the resort could not do enough for him in providing whatever he wanted to eat. Plus there was beer he could drink in the evening. And we loved the pizzas too. The beach was great - white sands and plenty of space to lie on sun loungers. All in all, a terrific experience.

The resort is quite huge. We enjoyed walking at the beach as it has a lot of spaces like swings, benches, sun beds etc. The rooms are also spacious and clean. Peanut kisses is refilled everyday as well as coffees and teas. The staff are incredibly the best in providing excellent customer service. I have been travelling a lot of countries and cities, I would say people in Bohol especially in Oceanic are the very genuine and kind. You can trust the staff without being concerned of begging to address your issues ot paying extra tips for extra help you need. I definitely recommend as well trying the breakfast buffet as they provide freshly cooked meals everyday and fresh fruits!
