Simon “Super central location to make the most of short stay in Palenque”

Great central option in Palenque, walkable from the bus station and close to everything in the Centro. Great cheap coffee shop a few doors down, and excellent Taco place opposite. Room functional for a short stay and very quiet. Reception helpful and let us store bags as arrived early.

It was quite a small dark room, but the air-conditioning was really good - essential in Palenque which, being close to sea level, was much hotter than most of the other places in Mexico in which I stayed - and there was a lovely balcony with seating area where I could sit outside and enjoy a cold beer in the evening and a coffee in the morning. In fact, they provide unlimited free coffee in the lobby which you can then take to your room or to the outdoor seating area. So all in all it represents fantastic value for money. The owner/manager spoke very good English which is something upon which he should be congratulated, as in many of the hotels in which I stayed in Mexico the staff could not speak English. It is in a very good location, with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby and just 5 minutes walk from the minibuses which take tourists to the archaeological site. It is also within walking distance of the main bus station.

Good air-conditioning, clean, helpful staff and good location. Nothing to complain about here. Plenty of space to put your bags and space to hang clothes too.
