Beautiful old Tuscan house surrounded by a large garden. A large fridge means plenty of space for wine.

We have stayed at this property 4 times as an extended family of 9 over the past 9 years. Young and old we all adore this place. The setting is perfect for a restful holiday. The village of palaia which is a short walk away has everything you need. The locals are warm and friendly, that’s why we all love it. A true reflection of village life in Tuscany. Apartments have all you need for your stay, kitchen well equipped. Rooms spacious with linen and towels provided. Large pool to the rear of the apartments. A large gazebo with seating, plus patio cars and table for each apartment for outdoor eating.

Agriturismo Il Prato: A Tranquil Tuscan Retreat We stayed for 9 days at Agriturismo Il Prato, and it was a delightful experience overall. Initially, our Waze GPS led us to the wrong address, but with the help of some friendly locals, we found Agriturismo Il Prato easily. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised. The parking lot is spacious enough for 5-6 cars. The property itself resembles an old farmhouse set in an extremely large garden, housing 6 apartments. The staff was very helpful and provided all necessary information before our arrival. Our apartment was more than spacious enough for two people, featuring a twin bed in the bedroom and a well-equipped kitchen that served us excellently during our stay. When we first entered the apartment, we had to open the windows and doors due to the extreme heat and a musty smell, but this was a minor issue. Everything has an "antique" look but is in good order. The bed was large and comfortable, and the kitchen had all the necessary plates, cups, mugs, forks, and knives. The bathroom, however, was extremely small, making it somewhat difficult to enter the shower and use the toilet due to the cramped space. Despite the temperatures reaching 35-37°C, we did not use the air conditioning. Agriturismo Il Prato's location in Palaia is very convenient for exploring Tuscany. Almost everything we wanted to visit was within 45-50 km. Each day, returning to Agriturismo Il Prato felt like coming home. The pool was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and there are two Padel Tennis courts for sports enthusiasts. Guests can cook, grill, read, swim, and sunbathe in a very quiet setting. We only saw the staff once during our stay when we checked in. There is a gardener who maintains the garden and the pool daily. The only minor annoyance was the neighbor's dog, who barked constantly whenever people passed by on the street. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and we would return anytime.

Apartment was well maintained and had all the necessary equipment for self catering purposes. The grounds and pool are excellent and accommodation is within walking distance of local amenities.
