The small resort is beautiful. Each of the villas has a beautiful view as well as privacy. The decorations of the room are very nice and modern. The location next to the river is gorgeous and well accesible by car eventhough it feels remote. We were welcomed very kindly by the host and all communication was easy and straightforward. The breakfast is a must. The host pours her heart and soul into the place and you will feel so welcome. The pool had again a perfect view of the river and enjoys plenty of sunshine. A great stay, we will be happy to come back here.

The view is amazing, Siomara is the kindest hostess, we enjoyed the swimming pool and the kitchen was very useful. It was perfect.

Staying here was wonderful! The location is perfect, we had the orange room and our room / bungalow and terrace looked out over the Douro River. Even from your bed you could look out on the river. We didn't even close the curtains to be able to wake up with the incredible views. Nicely designed in earth tones. To the contrary of other reviews it was easy to find as now they have a sign at the entrance. The host Siomara was perfect, kind and knowledgeable. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. Since there are only 3 bungalows and one main house it will always feel tranquil. They have a kitchen and coffee / tea maker that you can use (and a refrigerator that you can keep your things in) which is super convenient. On top of that you also have a pool with a view, we went in early April still a bit cold but at the end of a sunny day very welcome. The breakfast is plentiful and we got to discover lots of local breads (you can also order some eggs). Very good bed as well. You have enough space to park inside and loading dock for EV. You have a waterfall that you could here very softly in your room, another great feature. About the region: be aware you need a car and you will do a lot of driving in the mountains with sharp turns, also to get to the beginning of your hikes (for us not a problem but if you feel insecure driving like this you should take it into account). As for activities: in our 5 days we went to Paiva walkways and the suspension bridge (do the bridge first and then go to Espiunca), we did an afternoon hike at maureles, visited Amarante, we did a day hike Rota do vinho do Porto e Miradouro San Leonardo Galafura (challenging but way what a view), and we did a visit to Quinta do roeda in pinhao with a picnic amidst the vineyards and walked through this as well... Again magical views...you won't regret your visit in this region and this accommodation...the only thing we regret is not staying longer.

The location of the place is just stunning. Just the nature alone is the reason to stay at the place. A picturesque view with a beautiful waterfall. Cosy, very well-maintained room. A lot of light and attention to the small details, you can see that the owners put a lot of love in the place. Very good kitchen appliances. Guests can use a separate kitchen with outside tables, with the view on the valley. It’s amazing. The staff and the hosts is very friendly and welcoming, always there to help and answer your questions.
