Lovely friendly, helpful staff. We were moving from another motel in Monterey and asked if we could leave our luggage at the Sunset Inn until check-in time. When we arrived at 9.30 am, they had cleaned the room we were going into so that we could move straight in. It made a huge difference to our day. Lovely bright queen room. Comfortable bed, great shower, china mugs rather than plastic cups. Juice and coffee available all day in the reception area. Just a great place to stay. Lovely area too - very quiet, just a short walk to the water, fabulous walks in both directions, lots of little coves, rock pools,, sandy beaches, wildlife - sea otters, birds...

Very clean, nice quality toiletries, fruit and coffee day round, very attentive host, super close to 17mile drive and a 25min drive to lovely Carmel, with beautiful sunset views merely 5min away
