I am light eater at breakfast so for me a pot of tea and toast and a glass of juice are fine. For those wanting a more fulsome breakfast there was a fee. Feedback from those around me found the porridge and the cooked options both delicious The small room was cleaned perfectly every day and the staff were lovely.

Location for this hotel was excellent! We were so close to everything we wanted to see (museum/library/church etc) within walking distance. It was tucked down a side street and was easy to get to. Staff were friendly and let us keep the car longer in the secure lock up so we could still explore on our second day, very appreciated, which was a really short walk away. It’s an older property, but quaint and had all the necessary features for a one night stay. It got very warm at one point with the heating on, hard to navigate how to reduce this easily and there wasn’t a great deal of ventilation through the windows but it was manageable. If the weather was warmer this might have been more of an issue. Breakfast was available and looked good but we were running late so didn’t get a chance to try it sadly.
