This hotel is an historical gem. So it is more the experience then the comfort, though we slept very good there and the breakfast was good. But everything is really very old. If you are in for modern beds etc. then this is not the place for you. But if you want to feel how it was to live in a place like that then this is a must. The views are lovely from the room and it is round the corner of the main square

Such a lovely and unique place. This wide historic house is located at the foot of the church do Carmo in the very heart of the city of Ouro Preto. Wooden floors and antique furniture give an authentic atmosphere. The staff is so kind and attentive making you feel at home. Nice breakfast

Staying in a historical house, in the heart of the old town, and a garden teeming with birds. Not luxurious but cosy and equipped with everything you might need. Great breakfast with different cakes and fresh juices every day! Friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to have a look at Ricardo's artwork. Wake up call by the colorful parrots that live in the area.
