I loved the location. I've always wanted to go to africamps as we always drive past when we are in Oudtshoorn. Was a nice experience and very quiet. Just the way a like it to get away from the city noise.

The host were very friendly, the location was really nice, close by the dam. All my questions were answered when I initially stopped by the main building where our host is also located during office hours. There are nice pools as well but since we stopped by during winter we dared not to go for a swim :). Staff is friendly and so are your neighbours. Wood for a braai or fireplace is easily available as well as ice.

I was really looking forward to staying at AfriCamps at Chandelier, especially because it seemed to offer great value in a safari-style setting. While the tents and surroundings definitely gave off that safari feel, I was a bit disappointed to find there were hardly any animals on site—aside from a couple of buck, we didn’t see much wildlife at all. That said, the atmosphere was still peaceful and relaxing. The ability to help yourself to wood and charcoal was a nice touch, especially as we arrived late in the evening and were still able to have a proper fire and braai without needing to head to a shop. Overall, it was a decent stay, just not quite the safari experience I had hoped for.
