Please be sure to let us know your arrival time (check-in time: 4pm-9pm) at the hostel. Guests arriving after check-in hours (9PM) must inform the property in advance. If the property is not informed, the booking may be treated as a no show.
Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. Please note that a valid photo ID and a credit card corresponding to the name on the booking are required at check-in.The hostel has a curfew at 0AM. The shower can be used until 0AM. Lights out in lounges is at 0AM. Please note that guests using public transport are advised to get off at Otaru Station, not Minami-Otaru Station.
The way from Otaru Station has better road conditions, there are no slopes, and guests will be passing through an arcade, which provides shelter from the snow.
This hostel has a dog and a cat. The entire hostel is non-smoking.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

The place is very well located, at the top of a small hill, with a shrine next door and a magnificient point of view of the city. The house has a lot of charm with its traditional architecture and furnitures, yet it is also very cozy. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful!

1. So Ghibli coded! What a special place to stay in. Truly a home for travellers, unbelievably comfy and the whole mood and environment were so mystical. 2. The breakfasts - home cooked meals at 500 yen per meal, what a blessing. Highlight of my day. 3. The hospitality- very kind people and as a solo female traveller I felt safe and at ease. Every time I came back from sight seeing outside, I was greeted with an “Okaeri”, really loved that. They were even nice enough to have snow boots free to borrow, what a lifesaver because there’s no way I would’ve survived the snow storm without them. 4. Comfort - so comfortable, slept so peacefully.
