The cleanliness and bright. Very warm with a great heat pump. Our own shower and toilet (although very very small but I guess that’s just Japan) Fridge and boiling water always on the ready for our coffees. Plenty of hooks to hang clothes. The mattress was very comfortable. We could come and go anytime of the day or night. Ready access to supplies whenever needed. Washing machine available free of charge.

The Owner was very helpful giving directions to local rail station( even enlarging and printing a special map)..The area, and local restaurant and Teahouse Owner lovely ..very handy shops..all in one street almost...Fantastic local Onsen close by with lots of families with kids going.Nuce atmosphere.The stairs were very steep for someone like me with an Achilles problem...will ask for ground floor in future.As a single,woman traveller I felt secure & cared for.I had the no breakfast option so can't comment there

It's located in a quiet neighborhood that's close to a convenient station (Tengachaya), although you do have to take a 10 minute walk to it. The owner is very charismatic and helpful. It has a very non-hotel vibe to it, by which I mean that it doesn't feel like the type of experience you would get on a regular hotel. It feels like you're staying at a place that a local might live in, except that it's smaller. There are laundries nearby, sukiya, osaka osho, supermarket, Mr donuts.
