Beautiful garden and guesthouse with clean rooms and beautiful common area with magnificent fireplace and dining room. Copious and delicious dinner and breakfast – way more than what we could eat. Very accommodating host who exceptionally made our group of 8 persons Khinkali on our second night and also made an exception to let us pay by credit card. The guesthouse is in Upper Omalo just below the fortress, 200m hike from Lower Omalo – make sure your taxi brings you all the way up!

I had amazing time in Tusheti and Guesthouse Shina. Coming back to the guesthouse after long hiking and meeting there other fellow travelers was a very special experience! The owner of this place, Natia, was so nice and caring, starting with the logistics, ending in telling about the history and behind the scenes of Tushetian villages and its inhabitants. I will be back!

Authentic and local as it should be. And no its not fair to ask for all infrastructural requirement. If you do, you have industrialised Tusheti, which is not something you wanna do! Its as it should be. The khinkali is especially good as it was rumoured before
