The lock on the fort had a screen , which really surprised us . We spend some time trying to find the key, thinking it was a lockbox with a physical key inside . However , Silvia , the Host, Andy were four call immediately and explained everything. It was something new for us , we found it both great and very secure .

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable little cottage. From the moment we arrived, it felt cosy, welcoming, and full of charm. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making the space both beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The cottage was spotless, well-equipped, and perfectly set up for a relaxing escape. Waking up to the peaceful surroundings and enjoying quiet mornings there was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. It felt like a true home away from home, the kind of place you instantly relax in and don’t want to leave. We would happily return in a heartbeat and couldn’t recommend this cottage highly enough to anyone looking for a calm, charming getaway.

Quiet location close to shops & restaurants (Dudley's Vegetarian & Vegan options). The resident kookaburra family bathing in the pond in the mornings & laughing in the afternoon. Carpet of flowers in the lawns, Camelias & Rhododendrons still in bloom. Helpful & responsive host.
