The stay at St. Catherine's Monastery was absolutely perfect. They are run by sisters who are very very polite and helpful. Located just outside the main gate of Ngorongoro and is serene place, with farms surrounding it. The gardens inside and outside is quite picturesque. We were doing an evening and morning walk of the surrounding areas, small hillocks, farms and gardens made it quite breathtaking. The rooms are not extravagant but for relaxing it's quite ideal. The food is absolutely delicious as it's sourced straight from their garden and they gave us so much. We were always very very full. Lovely place, absolute value for money, will visit again.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds and courtyard are lovely. The location for access to Ngorongoro cannot be beaten.

The welcome was wonderful. Sr. Noella and all the sisters greeted us with warm smiles, and they were kind and courteous hosts. Johnson at reception was very accommodating with our request to chill our camping food. The entire area was tranquil, and literally a stones throw from the Ngorongoro gate.
