Hotel Overview

Located at the heart of the Alentejo, on a 4-hectare property, the Hotel O Gato & Spa offers access to an outdoor swimming pool area and free WiFi. Ferreira do Alentejo is a 14-minute drive and Grândola is a 43-minute drive.
The hotel is composed of 2 buildings, the traditional building which contains the standard rooms, and the new building, where the superior rooms are located. All rooms are air-conditioned at the Gato and feature a flat-screen TV with international channels, a private bathroom, and a minibar. The apartments also feature an equipped kitchenette.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning at the Gato. The hotel restaurant features traditional Alentejo wines and cuisine, such as regional chorizos, açordas and migas (both based upon mashed bread with spices, olive oil and eggs). For lighter meals, there is also an on site snack bar.
The hotel also has a large swimming pool and sun loungers surrounding it. There is also a bar area, where guests can enjoy a refreshing cocktail. Free WiFi is available in the public areas of the hotel. There is also a games room, with billiards. Free private parking is available inside the hotel.
Fishing and water sports are available at the Odivelas Lake, only a short 3-minute drive from the hotel.
The Lisbon International Airport is a 90-minute drive from the Hotel O Gato & Spa. An airport shuttle service is available, at a surcharge.

We enjoyed the quiet, the secure off street parking space and our room size. The evening meal and the breakfast were considerably better than we had feared-given previous reviews.
