Booked at short notice and there was only a smoking room available. But the smell wasn't noticable in the room at all. An older style hotel but the bathroom has been updated and the room was very well cleaned and aired before checkin. Excellent value and very friendly staff.

The room was big, a bit old-fashioned, but everything worked perfectly. Bathroom with a nice tub, toiletries, etc. An outstanding value-for-money!

The hotel really was posh: large room, enormous bathroom, balcony, slightly old-fashioned but good quality furniture. The extended continental breakfast was excellent. There was eco-friendly crockery and cutlery. There were two comfortable chairs by the coffee table, as well as one at the desk. Very close to the JR station. If you get lost in the narrow alleyways, look up and you'll see the name of the hotel. Even though my grandson and I had two separate beds, we were still given the excellent children's rate.
