The location was superb, just next to the church and castle, which made it super picturesque and easy to get to. Great value for money, overall.

Casa de S. Thiago do Castelo in the heart of the old town (inner walls) of Óbidos. It is an old house with many little rooms and spaces. As an old house and also due to the location, I would not recommend for people with mobility issues. It is hard to walk on the cobble stone streets and the house itself has a few steps inside. It was no problem for my group but it is some thing to be aware of. Other than that, it is a very comfortable house and the people who run it are just lovely! I would highly recommend.

The location and ambience of the hotel were absolutely wonderful!! The welcome and care of the staff was first class. The house had wonderful character and detail. It felt like home but in Portugal which was really lovely. A tip if you are travelling by car.... you have to park outside the castle walls and can't drop off your luggage so only take up the hill the clothes you'll need for your stay. We left a lot in the car which was a great idea. Walking the castle wall was absolutely fantastic and we had incredible food and the best sangria from a restaurant called Tasca 10, the food & service were second to none and we highly recommend a visit for a wonderful experience and memories. The absolute same can be said for this hotel!!!
