MARY “Fabulous stay in a beautiful country house”

The bedroom was very spacious and beautifully furnished as was the house, particularly the dining room. Shower over the bath. The man on Reception was very patient when we had got lost finding the property - our SatNav took us completely the wrong way down narrow dusty tracks into acres of apple trees the other side of Obidos, making us late to arrive (only by 20 minutes), when actually the house is easy to find. There are signs to it opposite the Bombeiros HQ in Obidos, so better to put that in a SatNav! The breakfast was outstanding - the best we had on our six night drive through Portugal. Lovely fresh fruit and orange juice, assorted meats and cheeses, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, assorted breads and cake. It was very enjoyable to sit at a shared dining table with other guests and exchange travelling and other stories. There is a very nice clean swimming pool which unfortunately we did not have time to use. Obidos is a lovely medieval village, and parking is easy and reasonably priced - 2 Euros for 2 hours. Well worth visiting, as was our stay at lovely Casa d’Obidos.

The place is absolutely charming! Quiet, relaxing and welcoming. Perfect place to stay while exploring Obidos and the area. It was one of the best stays on our 5-day trip through Portugal and we absolutely recommend it! We would really want to come back one day!

Everything was great from the staff, the apartment to the increbidle quiet location. Can't recomend more the breakfast as It Is truly the best breakfast you'll ever have. I will 100% be back here for a future holiday.

We had excellent help from the staff and the breakfast was amazing with good service. The room and bathroom was beautiful and we played a good game of pool and had a good swim . The location is better than in the castle because it’s quiet with a good view.
