I enjoyed my stay at this simple but practical hotel. Reading the previous reviews I expected much worse, but was nicely surprised when arrived. Staff was super sweet from receptionist lady who checked me in 2 hours earlier than they normally do at Wagner(just across the road) to cleaning girls who came every day to tidy up the room and friendly guys who served really good breakfast. Wifi was strong in my room (11), bed firm and comfy. Shower was newly refurbished with good pressure, and room was warm (and you can control the heating) and good size with enough furniture and a nice view. Heated changing room and storage downstairs was handy as well

The location is great, the rooms are clean, comfortable beds. Very good value for money.

Friendly staff, useful lounge, plenty of hot water for showers, comfortable beds, toilets on landing were useful. Breakfast was reasonable but toaster didn’t turn off and was broken. Photos of hotel in older times was an interesting exhibit on the walls.
