We took train from Glasgow to Oban and arrived The Kelvin Hotel in noon time after a three hour journey. It was before check in time, and the lady in the hotel told us we could not use the bathroom in the hotel because the bar was not ready and we were told to use the public toilet in the town center. We were further told the hotel would not be responsible for the safety for the luggage we left in the hotel corridor... It was not a pleasant start althouh the hotel room was OK.

Really comfortable hotel not far from Oban town centre. Our room was on the top floor and was big and clean. There was a small kitchen corner and the bathroom was small but well equipped. The bed and the pillows were really comfortable. There is parking on the street - you have to pay for it but it's free during the night.
