Guest houses Overview

Barriemore Oban Oban, is a charming Victorian townhouse room only accommodation with a beautiful waterfront location on West Scotland’s rugged coastline. The elegant guest rooms have either views of Oban Bay, the sound of Mull and Lismore or woodland, all have free WiFi.
Every room has a TV with a DVD player, a radio and a USB charging point. All rooms also feature a ensuite bathroom, a hairdryer and toiletries from Scottish Fine Soaps. The Guest rooms are staircase accessible as there is no elevator at the property.
The 4 star Barriemore operates a self check in system and provides room only accommodation.
Guests can also relax in the conservatory lounge or the seafront terrace which have views over Oban Bay and the Island of Kerrera.
Barriemore Oban was built by John S McCaig, the same man that built Oban's impressive landmark, the McCaig's Tower.

These rooms are located on the second floor. Lounge has a sea view. Apartment is let on a self catering basis.

These rooms situated on the first or the second floor are bright and decorated in keeping with the Victorian style of the property. All standard rooms have a king-size double bed and a TV with DVD player. Please note there is no sea view from these rooms. Chilled water, a hot drinks tray, toiletries, a USB charging point and a seating area are also included. Please note that this room cannot accommodate children.

This room situated on the first floor are bright and decorated in keeping with the Victorian style of the property. Spacious room on the ground floor with a super king-size bed, dressing room and sea views over Oban Bay. It also offers a large shower room and a seating area. This room features a sea view and a super king-size bed as standard. This room also includes a seating area, a spacious shower room, a TV with a DVD player and USB charging points. Hot drinks facilities, chilled water, binoculars and toiletries are also provided. This room is situated on either the ground floor or the first floor. Please note that this room cannot accommodate children.

This room includes a sea view and features two single beds, a seating area, a shower room, hot drinks facilities, chilled water and binoculars. It also includes a TV with a DVD player and a radio. Please note that this room is located on the first floor and may not be suitable for guest with a mobility impairment. Please note that this room cannot accommodate children.

Barriemore Oban is an incredibly beautiful property. It is well-located to the train station and easy to reach by car. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, and the views from the room were nothing short of breathtaking and spectacular! We only had two nights here and wished we had stayed longer (4-5 nights) so that we could have visited the islands. We would thoroughly recommend Barriemore Oban to anyone planning to visit Oban or the neighbouring islands. We are grateful to our hosts, Mark and Jan, for having us. Next time we will definitely book a longer stay. Thank you so much for making our stay a truly wonderful and memorable experience.

The view was ezceptional. The room was largr clean, airy and warm. Decorated in a modern style. Lovely.
