“Excellent Service”
19 Jul 2025
The front desk staff is truly outstanding, with special recognition to Alyssa. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Her attentiveness and dedication exceeded expectations. Having stayed at numerous hotels across Canada, the Caribbean, and Asia, I can confidently say the service here — especially from Alyssa — ranks among the very best. A thank you as well to General Manager Neil, who responded promptly and thoughtfully to all my questions and concerns.

“Staff and manager is amazing cleanliness extremely poor”
28 May 2025
The hotel manager James and front desk staff was extraordinary, I was upgraded to the loft because the cleanliness of the room was unbelievably poor and unacceptable when I checked in, I was going to go elsewhere. So, the kindness of the upgrade was very much appreciated and made it worth my money to extend my stay. However, cleanliness was a huge problem. It was challenging even getting the garbage taken out and clean towels, the cleaning staff even refused to take the garbage 3 times during my stay ( simple white garbage bag ) as my room number was not on her list to clean , I was told by housekeeping. Despite expressing my concerns several times and talking with the front desk and housekeeping manager, nothing changed There was spider webs on the roof and poorly poorly cleaned. I had to buy cleaning products to make my long term stay comfortable. But the loft upgrade made it worth the stay and the excellent service provided by James and front desk staff upgrading me and understanding my concerns, I could see they are facing challenging times with housekeeping Also had a wo.an sleeping in the lobby that overdose and we ambulance had to be called and police at the hotel 3 times . My stay was very much a conflict as feeling comfortable and safe.

“Fair”

I had a mixed experience during my over two-week stay, made enjoyable mostly thanks to the incredible hotel manager, James, and the lovely assistant manager at the front desk. Their kindness and professionalism stood out and truly made a difference in my overall experience. Upon arrival, the original room I had booked was in very poor condition. Thankfully, James went out of his way to upgrade me to a spacious and comfortable loft suite, which I appreciated, especially given the length of my stay. However, the cleanliness and housekeeping services were extremely disappointing. It took nearly a week—seven days—before anyone agreed to clean my room, and even then, only after multiple requests. One cleaning staff member repeatedly refused to take out the garbage, forcing me to dispose of it myself by placing it in my car. On the eighth day, when I asked her directly in the hallway, she told me my room “wasn’t on her list” and that she didn’t have to clean it. Despite raising these concerns with multiple levels of hotel management, spider webs remained on the walls throughout my stay, no fresh linens or towels were ever provided, and broken picture frames were left untouched. The lack of basic cleanliness was frustrating and unacceptable, especially for an extended stay. To make matters worse, there was a serious incident involving a young woman who was found unconscious on the lobby couch, turning blue. I had to intervene and help wake her, and James quickly and responsibly called 911. The scene escalated with multiple police cars and ambulances on-site, creating a sense of chaos and concern. This wasn’t an isolated occurrence—similar disruptions happened over four nights, severely affecting my ability to rest and feel safe. While the upgraded suite was a generous gesture, the overall conditions, particularly the poor housekeeping and hygiene standards, left me very disappointed—especially after spending over $2,000.
