Honestly, it was a very nice stay at Kalyva by the sea. The host (Vasilis) was very kind, gentle and helpful and hosted us in a very unique way. The view from the room was fantastic and we have received the apartment in a perfectly cleaned condition. We were really impressed how clean the room was. We have spent one week in Lefkada and with our rental car this apartment was the perfect location as a start point for various trips to discover the island. There is a small super market just across the street and you can reach the center of Nidri in approximately 15-20 minutes on foot. Today is the first day back home and I am almost missing the days we have spent on this beautiful island. Thank you Vasilis for taking care of us and we wish you all the best for the future! Hidden Gem – Unforgettable Stay at Kalyva by the Sea, Lefkada. We recently stayed at Kalyva by the Sea and genuinely couldn’t have wished for a more perfect escape. Tucked away in a stunning location, this villa truly is a hidden gem — the kind of place you almost want to keep secret so it stays just as special. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views — the combination of the sparkling sea views overlooking the lush green Princess islands and the serene atmosphere is absolutely postcard-worthy. The villa itself is brand new, thoughtfully designed to the highest standard, and incredibly well equipped. Every detail has been considered, from the modern touchpad controls to the well-beautiful kitchen and luxurious bathrooms. It’s spacious, stylish, and very private, with an exceptional pool and terrace area that quickly became our favourite spot for lazy mornings and golden sunrises. What made the experience truly memorable were our wonderful hosts, Vas and Sophia. Warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive, they went out of their way to make our stay extra special — even surprising us with a thoughtful gift for our anniversary. Their local recommendations were spot-on, and they arranged private boat trips and restaurant recommendations that added a truly personal touch to our trip. The location is ideal — just a short walk to some lovely restaurants and a beautiful bay where you can spot impressive superyachts mooring up. It feels both luxurious and low-key in the best possible way. One small point to be aware of: the top villa is situated next to a road, so there is some road noise when you’re outside. That said, it’s very minor, and absolutely no sound can be heard from inside the villa, which is soundproofed to perfection. All in all, Kalyva by the Sea is one of those rare finds that exceeds expectations on every level. We left feeling completely recharged and already dreaming of coming back. Highly, highly recommended.
