Vlastimil “Great, picturesque place with a character”

My wife and I travelled to Nuwara Eliya for pleasure. We made several hikes in the vicinity and wanted to discover and experience "little England". Queenswood Cottage was unlike any other nearby hotel or resort, as it had a very specific character, with the "wooden-clad" buildings and room furnishings had a bit of the picturesque "old England" vibe. Although it is located off the main road coming to Nuwara Eliya, it is somewhat enclosed and feels quiet, comparing to the main road itself. The staff was extremely helpful, answered to our wishes promptly, offered to clean our room several times. The restaurant food was superb. The hotel is located approximately 5 minutes walk from the centre of Nuwara Eliya, so visiting most of the sites within the town itself is very easy on foot.

Outstanding customer service, staff went above and beyond. Room was lovely, spacious, and very quiet. Breakfast was amazing, and the breakfast staff were exceptional. Bonus points for one of the members of staff giving us a lift to the bus station in the tuktuk! Couldn't fault our stay.

Great staff, particularly the manager who went out of his way to help us get train tickets. He even drove us to the station to purchase them in his own tuk tuk.
