A fantastic hotel with fantastic staff and services. I couldn't have wished for more. Wonderful little touches like leaving a small parchment with an Indoniesan folklore story after turning the beds down in the evening. Great dive centre run by knowledgeable and encouraging experts who i felt really safe with.

As opposed to many of the other resorts on the island, Deep Roots fits very well into the environment. It feels private and zen in all the right ways. The staff were nothing short of incredible, and we left feeling like a part of the family. The owners were on site more often than not, and always up for a chat. We went diving with Deep Roots as well, which felt safe and authentic, and we could tell that the instructors valued the environment in a way that many do not. They also organized a day trip around the island for us. Regardless of what we wanted or needed, a solution was found. Everything you will need in a stay on Nusa Penida, you will get at Deep Roots. Thank you!

The resort is truly incredible. Everywhere looks so beautiful, the rooms are very modern. Everything was clean, you could see the ocean from the pool, and every single member of staff was incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast, and our dinner there was also very good. The diving school was also particularly special for us. All the diving instructors are very friendly and made every effort to ensure we had the best experience. The concept of having a diving school right on site really makes sense. We went on a snorkeling trip and went scuba diving – both highly recommended! A stay here is worthwhile; we wish we could have stayed longer.

The location of the resort and pool is stunning! Rooms are beautiful. We did snorkelling with the Dive Center - which was great - and cooking class! All excellent 😊
