The staff at the hotel were very welcoming from the outset, and check-in was a smooth process. The room and the bed were a good size, as were the towels, and the bed was quite comfortable. The amenities are good - hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee machine, fridge, bathrobes and toiletries. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked. We noticed that the room had a European plug socket as well as British ones, we didn't need it but thought it was a nice touch for international travellers, and there were also USB sockets. We really liked being offered the option to opt out of housekeeping, it all helps the environment and we were only staying for 2 nights anyway, and you get a choice of rewards for opting out too. The location is great - we chose the hotel because it was close to travel options that we needed for an event that we were attending, but it's also a good location for the city centre shops, bars, restaurants etc. A bit of a walk from the train station, but it's possible to get a tram from the station to the Old Market Square just round the corner.

Wonderful large room, great size of desk for work, beautifully quiet, spacious bathroom and huge bath towels: altogether a fantastic stay and if in Nottingham again would definitely return. A brilliant variety of Indian restaurants opposite: Kottayam the best.
