Superb find, a local gem, great food, awesome drink choice and friendly attentive staff. We stayed in a lovely big, well appointed room. Would love to come back.

What a little gem of a pub! Myself and my daughter needed a hassle-free stopover the night before moving into her new uni-home. We arrived on a Tuesday night to a gloriously cosy pub, mid quiz-night, rammed to the rafters, lovely atmosphere. We were shown to our room...and what a lovely surprise...it was gorgeous! Super comfortable, beautifully decorated, everything we needed and a fab continental breakfast in the room/fridge. Parking on site and easy key drop off the next morning. Jess was also great with any text queries I had. We were delighted with our stay (too short in our view!) and will definitely be booking here in future when visiting our daughter at uni. Food and pub were great, room above a pub is always going to have a little back ground noise, so this was expected. The lady who looked after the rooms was very obliging and realised that we might want a shower mat, which she added without us asking. Thank you you were all great!!!
