What I loved about the vacation lodge was how calm and clean everything felt the moment I walked in. It was spotless, like someone had really taken their time to prepare the space with care. That made it so much easier to relax. The bed was incredibly comfy and I genuinely slept better than I had in weeks. Lisa was amazing. From the moment I booked to when I arrived, she was so supportive, checking in to make sure I had everything I needed but also giving me space to enjoy my time. It is rare to find hosts who strike that balance so well. I felt looked after without being overwhelmed. The whole place had this gentle stillness that just let me pause, breathe and reset. I didn’t realise how much I needed it until I was there. Honestly, I left feeling lighter.

There were a few food items provided by the host which were much appreciated, including milk, bagels, butter and crisps. The lodge was very quiet and in a good location for our trip to the area. Richmond and Northallerton were both a short drive away. There were plenty of places to walk in the area. We very much enjoyed our stay.
