Really characterful, lovely atmosphere and furnishings. Shower was better than average and the fire was lovely to take the chill off in the evenings. Velux windows were perfect for the vault-ceiling bedrooms. Beds were comfy too.

Great place to stay. Lovely accommodation. Perfect for getting to Edinburgh on the train which saves trying to park your car.

Loved the location in the countryside and that Gill and Scott were willing to help with any of our needs. Nice touches of having everyday pantry needs available made our stay easier!

One of the best things I loved about The Bothy is its accessibility by train. It's located just a few minutes walk from Drem station, on the North Berwick line from Edinburgh (takes around 30 minutes). Upon our arrival there was tea, coffee and a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge. It's a really cosy little place - a perfect blend of old and new and it had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well-equipped and we were able to cook in both nights of our stay, there's even a garlic press! There's a lovely big walk-in shower and the beds are comfy.
