We stayed 1 night. The meals were excellent, we had both breakfast and dinner. Plentiful food, beautiful presentation, all delicious. We also paid extra to use the private onsen for an hour (have to reserve in advance), so that we could use it as a family (two adults, a teen and a child). The actual onsen baths in the private room were small, could only fit 2 people max, but we made it work by taking turns (2 people in the indoor bath, 2 in the outdoor bath, then we switch). We also used the public onsen baths which were open to all hotel guests - the bath area was not that big, but the water quality was good, heat level was good. We never ran into too many other guests while we were at the baths, so it was fine. Overall, my favorite part of our stay here were the kaiseki dinner and breakfast spread, as well as the onsen experience (both the private onsen and the public onsen baths). Size of room was adequate, enough for 4 futons, it's a bit dated but we didn't mind that. Location was central, we drove, so no issues getting around. Service was pleasant, staff were welcoming and friendly.

Hotel staff was awaiting our arrival outside the ryokan and helped park our car. Polite staff. Cosy and peaceful stay. The dinner and breakfast was spectacular. Beautiful kaiseki dinner blew us away. Private onsen room we booked in advance helped us experience the onsen comfortably. Beautiful yukata obtained from the reception staff. A number of shops nearby.
