The location is perfect for exploring Hell Valley Geothermal Park. You can easily walk from the bus stop to the hotel, although there is an uphill stretch, which might be a bit inconvenient if you are carrying heavy luggage. The room is simple, but the reception and café area are impressively beautiful — a very peaceful space to enjoy a coffee with background music and a lovely fireplace. The onsen area in the hotel itself is somewhat basic, but the highlight is that the stay includes access to Dai-ichi Takimotokan, an absolutely impressive onsen. Considering that this area is known for very expensive hotels, this property is one of the more affordable options and offers excellent value for money.

Great location. Walking distance into town and to Jigokudani valley. Perfect if you want to visit before the morning tour busses or visit in the evening for the spooky theme. Some walkways in Jigokudani are lit at night. Near to restaurants. Room was quiet and comfortable. Spacious enough to open suitcase and ample hanging hooks on the wall. Amenities and furnishings are modern. Laundry facilities located at basement level. Onsite bakery at reception is amazing and impressive. Excellent variety of viennoiseries and freshly baked everyday coupled with excellent coffee. Lobby area is designed like a lounge area with plenty of seating, usb charge ports, bright windows and a central fireplace. Staff is friendly and could speak English. Check-in and check-out was easy via electronic counter.

Comfortable hotel which gives access to the grand baths across the road, but at a fraction of the cost of a room there. It is the way to experience Noboribetsu.
