The fine print
Please contact the property in advance if a child 12 years and under would like to have meals, or if they only require their own futon bedding. Child rates will be applied accordingly if the property is informed.Please note that to move to the big bath, a guest is required to move from the second floor to the first floor by using the steps. There is no elevator.Please note that there are steep stairs with around 50 stairs on the corridor toward the open-air bath and private bath. The hotel does not suggest the guest who cannot walk well.For the safety reasons, please note that open-air bath and private bath will not allowed to be used if there is a higher tidal waves.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

One of our favorite hotel if you like to experience an outdoor onsen with crashing waves and great sunset sea view. You can reserve an onsen for private use (only once per night stay, unfortunately). We also found the kaiseki means of excellent quality. I understand some guests did complain about the structural integrity and conditions of the building and rooms, especially the molds and the handrails down to the open-air onsen. However, I did not find this an issue during this visit and was very satisfied with the wooden handrails provided. Unless you have major sinus issues, do not miss this hotel if you need a stop at the Dagoshima area.

The view from the hotel is the best I've experienced. All of the rooms have the sea view with the islands so is magnificent. The outdoor onsen is very close to the sea so we loved the view and sound of the crashing waves while sitting in a hot onsen. We went off-season so it was very quiet and got the onsen to ourselves! Breakfast was very traditional and was served per person.

Very nice hotel, close to the beach, very beautiful views. The onsen are great, the room we had was perfectly japanese. Very tasteful and typical breakfasts and dinners. We really enjoyed the place
