Where to start. Have been touring Europe for 2 weeks staying at some lovely ( and some not so lovely) locations but so far Hotel de l'Ange is my favourite. If you want fancy top end accommodation go to Dubai or somewhere else without sole. If you want to experience rural france at its finest this is it. Set In a beautiful village surrounded by vineyards this is rustic, historic and beautiful. Don't get me wrong rustic doesn't mean unclean it's spotless and charming. It is relaxing and 100% French. The hotel restraunt was closed on the day we arrived but Ange got us booked into the most amazing local French restraunt less than a minutes walk away. The bed was super comfortable and after a great meal and glass of the locally produced wine I slept like a baby. The shower in the morning was incredible then up for breakfast. I have read some reviews about the breakfast not being worth the money?? I don't get it. It had everything a continental breakfast should have. Fresh egg, Fresh breads, home made preserves, sweet, savouries, meats and cheeses. I wish I had booked this for at least another night or two I felt so relaxed after it. Loved this place so much.....oh did I mention great value for money

The town looked great with all the vineyards, and so did the restaurant downstairs, although we did not have an opportunity to try it out.

A lovely cosy hotel in the centre of a charming village, not as crowded as the neighbouring more famous ones. Wonderful atmosphere, lovely breakfast, extremely friendly hostess. Merci, Madame Wiss!
