The location is brilliant. A quiet village with a Boulangerie that also sells a limited selection of other things. Fruit,veg, charcuterie, and a very good restaurant. The hyper market is not far away either and also sells cheap petrol. It is in a great position to get easily into the town Colmar or to so many of the lovely Alsace villages. We even went to Strasbourg and Basel both worth the visit and doable in a day. It is a very spacious ground floor flat which is wonderfully cool on a hot day (no need for fans!) and the heating is efficient and easy to switch on if it’s a damp chilly day. There is good Wi-Fi. There is only BBC world news on the TV but we used our laptop computer for Netflix and Prime which worked perfectly. A large sofa and 2 comfortable chairs. The kitchen has a good electric hob and oven, and the utensils are adequate. A large dining table. There is copious very hot water. No dishwasher or washing machine. The extras were good, coffee, tea, cooking oil, salt, pepper. The 2 double beds are very comfortable in good sized bedrooms. There is nothing to keep you awake at night which l really appreciated. It is well equipped for a young child up to 20 months approx with a high chair and travel cot. Even a baby bath for very young or you can use the bath for toddlers. There is a shower in the bath for hair wash and rinse off. The shower did not work well when hung on the wall. There is a pleasant outside area with small table and chairs for eating outside or sitting in the sun. A larger table under shade if needed. There is a BBQ for your use. The owners live on site. They are delightful and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There is room on site for your car.
