We stayed at the Khla Hotel in April, off-season. We had a standard double room. We tried two different rooms. What we liked: The location is excellent, 3-5 minutes from the train station and about 15 minutes from the Old Town. The hotel manager was very knowledgeable; he quickly and efficiently resolved our issue and moved us to another room. As a bonus, we were given a small refund for the inconveniences we experienced during the first two nights (although they were not the hotel's fault). The hotel has a great customer service concept: the receptionists are smiling, as are all the other staff members, who greet us and are willing to help. And all those hand-signed cards, information cards, and pleasant little touches—it's all very nice! The rooms are clean and tidy, and they are cleaned daily. The rooms are small, but the layout is well thought out and there are plenty of light sources. The breakfast is modest, but there is enough food. You have to boil your own eggs, and there is a device for that on the table. Freshly squeezed juice and pastries are also available.
