Elspeth was a wonderful host and the property was lovely, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The location is perfect and the view from the patio alone is worth the trip let alone the locality of Loch Awe. Highly would recommend and hopefully return again!

This is a gorgeous cottage in a remote location very close to the shores of Loch Awe - wonderful views. The property is clean, spacious and extremely comfortable - the beds in particular - with all the facilities you need. Elspeth is a wonderful host - there was a welcome pack waiting for us on arrival and she popped round for a chat and gave us some excellent tips regarding supplies and things to do. Although we weren't able to make much use of it due to the weather, the garden and decking were lovely, such a peaceful location.

Cottage was exactly what we wanted, very comfortable, spacious and great views, home away from home. With having own water supply it was really brown, but wasn't a big problem to buy our own water.

The cottage was in a beautiful location by Loch Awe, very well maintained with a pretty garden, lovely views and everything that we could need for a relaxing week away. The single-track road has lots of passing places so wasn't a problem at all and the views along the road are beautiful so it all added to the attraction of being away from it all (we drove the longer way down the loch from Dalmally to Durran on the way in, specifically for the views and experience, but took the shorter route in and out via Ford each day). It's a short walk to get down to the shore of Loch Awe and there are views of the loch from the cottage (which we've been missing since being home!). We saw deer, red squirrels and woodpeckers at the cottage and the surrounding area is stunning - we loved our week of walking and exploring Argyll & Bute. Elspeth was lovely and welcoming on arrival and gave us a few tips for the area, and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We'd highly recommend Forester's Cottage and would love to return!
